Now I will soon pour out my wrath upon you, and spend my anger against you, and judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. (Ezekial 7-8). For every abomination, and for every sin, there must of necessity be a just recompense. For God is holy and a Just Judge. His wrath burns like fire against all iniquity; the fury of His wrath is like a consuming fire that no man can bear.
Here, Ezekiel speaks of temporal judgment on Israel for nation sins, but the same principle applies to individuals and to eternal judgment if men do not repent. You, Lord, are the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity. Your holiness is unspeakably pure, and Your hatred of sin is indescribeably intense.
We thank You that You have sent Your Son to bear the fury of Your wrath against sin on the cross, for we could not bear it ourselves. We could not quench the fire or Your wrath though we suffered for all eternity, but Your Son has availed for us, praise be to His holy name! By. PS. Rajes Patil
